The Numbers

There’s no rhyme or reason as to how much or how often people purchase.
Most regular customers order a couple of boxes every month or two.
Some buy 5-8 boxes a few times a year, while others will
stock their freezers with 10-15 or more items at a time.
Prices range from $59-$399.

The average cost per box is around $150.
Sales typically range from $200-$500. Quite often,
$500-$1,000 and occasionally top $1,500-$2,000 and more.

A BirdDog Scenario

Bob is saving for his first car, but it’s tough to find a job at his age. A friend shared
BirdDog Network with him and he was all in. His first "referrals" were his parents,
who thankfully were able to buy a few boxes to jump-start his new venture.

Ginger BirdDog Network

Bob knows so many people that are looking for ways to make easy
money through networking or influencers. Everybody knows somebody.
Nobody works social media (and their parents 😉) like our kids do.
BirdDog Network taps into that energy.

Slide
Our Averages and Assumptions

Assume that 10% out of the 100 contacts Bob shared with will purchase.

(Probably some kid’s parents.) 😉

Assume that as an average, all New Customers spend around $400.

(Right around our average customer purchase.)

Assume that as an average, 30% of all New Customers re-order 3 more times in Year 1.

Assume that as an average, 30% of all
New Customers re-order 3 more times in Year 1.

(So many factors, but that’s about right…)

Assume that as an average, all Repeat Customers spend around $400.

(Give or take, some spend way more.)

Assume that as an average, 15% of all Referrals also share to 100 of their contacts.

Assume that as an average, 15% of all Referrals
also share to 100 of their contacts.

(We’re guessing here, but this seems reasonable. These are mostly teens.)

Assume that as an average, 5% of all New Referrals purchase.

(This feels like a low number…)

Doing the Math

We took our Averages and Assumptions and
plugged some conservative numbers in.
Not everybody loves math…

Getting Started

After years of school, most kids have hundreds of contacts.
Some have thousands. Bob shares BirdDog Network with 100 of his.
Assume 10 out of 100 of Bob’s Referrals spend $400.
(Probably some kid’s parents 😏)

10 New Customers x $400 = $4,000

$4,000 @ 10% = $400 To Bob!

And It Gets Better…

Slide
Repeat Customers

Folks love our food. When they re-order, BirdDogs get paid. For a year!
Assume 30% (3) of the 10 New Customers re-order 3 more times in Year One.
Assume that they spend an average of $400.
3 Repeat Customers x $400 = $1,200 x 3 = $3,600

$3,600 @ 10% = $360 To Bob!

But Wait, There's More...

Slide
Using the Same Averages and Assumptions

Out of Bob's 100 Referrals, 15% (15) also share to 100 of their Contacts.
15 x 100 = 1,500 New Referrals
Assume 5% (75) of the 1,500 New Referrals purchase around $400.
(Also, probably some kid's parents) 😉
75 New Customers x $400 = $30,000

$30,000 @ 5% = $1,500 To Bob!

And Still More...

Slide
Folks Will Re-Order

Assume 30% (23) of the 75 New Customers re-order 3 more times in Year One.
Assume they spend an average of $400.
23 New Customers x $400 = $9,200 x 3 = $27,600

$27,600 @ 5% = $1,380 To Bob!

And One More Time...

Slide
Once More, Still Using the Same Averages and Assumptions

Assume 15% (150) of the 1,000 New Referrals, also share to 100 of their Contacts.
150 x 100 = 15,000 New Referrals
Assume 5% (750) of the 15,000 New Referrals purchase an average of $400.
750 New Customers x $400 = $300,000

$300,000 @ 5% = $15,000 To Bob!

Almost Done...

Slide
It's All About the Numbers

Assume 30% (225) of the 750 New Customers re-order 3 more times in Year One.
Assume that they spend an average of $400.
225 Repeat Customers x 400 = $90,000 x 3 = $270,000

Assume 30% (225) of the 750
New Customers re-order 3 more times in Year One.
Assume that they spend an average of $400.
225 Repeat Customers x 400 = $90,000 x 3 = $270,000

$270,000 @ 5% = $13,500 To Bob!

Slide
Fuzzy Math?

We think not... although these are just projections,
they're based on real averages and what we feel,
are conservative assumptions.

Your Results May Vary... 🙂
